From our part we will do something in the next release to try to address that specific issue.

Here is the list of things we are going to add in a couple of weeks time:

1/ Links in the widget sidebar that would optionaly go to the users personal web pages or blogs, if provided in the comment form.

2/ Instead of opinionated “Agree” / “Disagree” options we could rename it to “Like” / “Don’t like” (of course anyone can change it now by a simple aditing of the plugin source code, but still may be its better idea)

I will try to explain a little bit further. In essence the Plugin outcome, if I may say so, is simple: every user will see his souldmates and opponents in the side panel. It is not any kind of general ranking. And no one “wins” anything. The point is, that by expressing your opinion about any subject (by voting or writing a comment) you are cross-calculated with other users opinions and a list OF PEOPLE CLOSE TO YOU (i.e. your views) is created.

This list is individualy created for every single one of users. There is no point of getting more positive or negative votes, you express what you really think and as a result you can see other readers who thinks LIKE YOU (or exactly opposite)

You can use the WordPress plugin which is destributed under GPL lisence to learn how to access the Engine through the HTTP.

You can modify the Plugin and create your own applications based on the current API. However we are formilizing the access policy to the Engine, meantime you can use it only to create WordPress based applications without requesting a special access.

So what the plugin does, why we’ve created it and how its different?

BrainsMatch WordPress plugin is creating list of Soulmates and Oponnents for current user based on posts and comments rating.

Basically blog reader is pressing one of the “Agree” or “Disagree” buttons located under each post or comment and can see other users who have similar or polar views listed in the widget window.

Thats really it… sounds simple, but its not.

The plugin is based on BrainsMatch innovative real time collaborative filter (patent pending) and has some increadible features, which are discussed under the API category.

We will continue to develope the plugin further, but would really appreciate your input.
